Welcome to the Collegiate Cyber Exercise Event (CCEE) 2010 website. This one-day event will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010, on the campus of the University of Illinois at Springfield.

The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for full-time students attending Illinois colleges and universities to expand their computer security education through simulations of cyber attacks against Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CI/KR). This hands-on exercise will include an academic lesson and engage the next generation of cyber security professionals in Cyber Storm scenarios.

Up to 64 students from across the state of Illinois may register to participate in this event. Each student will receive a $100 stipend for his/her participation.

Students who wish to register must meet the following criteria:

1. U.S. Citizen
2. Full-time student in the Fall 2010 at an Illinois college or university
3. Completion of a college-level, information security course

This is an exciting opportunity that allows students to gain practical experience in the field of cyber security. Students need to submit a completed application by August 13, 2010. Applications will be reviewed and students will be notified of their status by August 25, 2010.

An application form can be found on the Registration Page. Deadline to submit an application is August 13, 2010.

CCEE 2010 is brought to you by Springfield InfraGard Members Alliance, and its valued partners, the Center for System Security and Information Assurance (CSSIA) and the Computer Science Department at the University of Illinois at Springfield. This event is funded in part by a Department of Homeland Security grant.
